Why results depend on your AI’s model

APiM Galaxy gives your AI a set of tools — but the research and the writing are done by your AI’s own model. So how deep a report comes out can vary by which model you’re on, and that reflects the model, not APiM Galaxy.

What APiM Galaxy does vs. what your model does

APiM Galaxy provides deterministic tools: it checks each relationship against the source it cites, ranks your targets, and draws the map. The research itself and the wording of the report are produced by your AI’s own model. We supply the tools and the honest guardrails; your model does the reasoning and the writing.

    So results vary by model

A more capable model produces a deeper, better-written report and runs more smoothly; an older or lighter model produces a thinner one. The source-checking, ranking, and mapping are the same either way — what changes is the reasoning and prose your model builds around them. This reflects your model, not APiM Galaxy’s performance.

We can’t set your model — you can

APiM Galaxy can’t choose or change your AI’s model; that’s set in your Claude / ChatGPT / Claude Code settings. For the best results, use the most capable model available to you.

If a report feels thin, try the same question on a more capable model before assuming the connector underperformed — the tools ran the same; the depth comes from your model.
